The machines making decisions about your life should answer to someone. That’s the job.

HI, I'M YVETTE SCHMITTER

I keep AI systems from quietly locking people out of the futures they’ve earned.

When I asked an AI to make my action figure as a “Cloud Jedi CEO,” it handed me Jensen Huang’s face instead of my own. If a system can’t recognize the CEO of a company as herself, picture what it does with a stack of résumés or a loan file.

I built computers from spare parts as a kid, back when people liked to tell me technology wasn’t meant for someone like me - a Black girl. Now, I make sure AI opens the door to everyone it evaluates.

Hundreds of organizations rely on me to audit their AI for bias. That work has shielded roughly 2 million people from algorithmic discrimination and saved clients millions in compliance costs.

Everyone deserves to be measured by their full potential and when I audit, I remember - behind every percentage point is a person.

AI scales decision-making to millions of people, and it scales our blind spots right along with it.

Algorithms are screening out the range of talent that actually drives innovation.

>> A hiring model passes over a strong candidate because of a name.
>> Lending systems redline whole neighborhoods without anyone noticing.
>> In healthcare, a diagnostic tool misses a heart attack in a woman because women were barely present in its training data.

This is segregation running at computational speed, and it compounds every day it goes unchecked.

Across the organizations EY surveyed in 2025, nearly every large company deploying AI absorbed some financial loss tied to risks that include bias, adding up to an estimated $4.4 billion.

Teams that adopt my ETHICALENS framework can see roughly 40% stronger performance and around 85% fewer bias-related incidents.

The organizations moving now are turning fair AI into a real competitive edge and there’s room for yours among them.
